Description

Seminar in Gender and Literature is a multi-genre compilation of readings and media from a variety of disciplines that traces gender perceptions as historical, sociological, philosophical, and psychological constructs. The differences between gender and sex are explored. The compilation of readings also presents issues encountered by individuals who have resisted traditional gender roles in the context of their societies. Additionally, the evolving humanistic attitudes of recent years toward gender acceptance are addressed in these selections. Course: ENG 405
