When ground broke on the Charles E. & Dorothy F. Schmidt College Center on September 1, 1982, the construction represented the first major expansion at the college in over a decade. The building was dedicated on September 21, 1984.
Today, the Schmidt College Center is the first building you see when entering campus from the Military Trail main entrance. It is currently home to the Office of the President, as well as the Admission, Development, and Marketing and Communication departments.
