President Kevin M. Ross delivered a Barbie-inspired theme State of the University address on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2024.

Department leaders, including Academic Affairs, Admission, Athletics and University Advancement highlighted progress on the Lynn 2025 strategic plan, expansion of on-campus housing and notable industry accolades. Lynn also announced new fields for its NCAA DII baseball and softball teams.

Highlights

  • 3,520 total students (the highest enrollment in the university's history)
  • 3.44 average GPA for student-athletes
  • 98% FAA exam pass rate for flight students
  • No. 2 in the nation: 2024 Times Higher Ed ranking for Gender Equality

Drawing inspiration from the hit song "I'm Just Ken" in the Oscar-nominated movie, the university premiered a playful music video titled "We're Just Lynn." The video celebrated Lynn's recognition as one of the nation's "Great Colleges to Work For" for the seventh consecutive year, highlighting its outstanding workplace culture and commitment to employees.

The event was held in the Wold Performing Arts Center and was also offered live on YouTube.
