1997: Women's Tennis Welcomes Lynn to NCAA With a National Title
Lynn University made its presence known in its first year of NCAA Division II championship eligibility. The Fighting Knights reached the national semifinals in men's soccer and men's basketball, was a national runner-up in women's soccer and now can add national champions for women's tennis. This is the third consecutive national title for the women's program having won NAIA championships in 1996 and 1995. Lynn logged only one loss during the season, which it avenged by knocking of Armstrong Atlantic 5-4 in the finals.
Highlights from the season:
- Recorded five All-America selections in singles and doubles
- Katerina Koldova went a perfect 21-0 in singles play, posting the best single-season winning percentage in program history.
