Description
This Multi-Touch book was designed for first-year students enrolled with Lynn University's Institute for Achievement and Learning, to serve as a personal workbook aiding in their transition to Lynn University. First, the book functions as an instructional companion to enhance the executive function (EF) skills needed at the collegiate level including: time management, goal setting, metacognition, study skills, notetaking, reading, exam preparation, and reducing stress and anxiety. The chapters are a resource that students can work through and keep as a reference to go back to as needed. Self-assessments and quizzes provide students with instant feedback on EF skills and tips are provided to improve skill sets. Video vignettes from prior Lynn University students include success stories and provide positive insights and feedback for current students. At the conclusion of each chapter, checklists are provided to help students complete goals such as ADA documentation and processes, identifying resources on campus, preparing for independent life skills, and more. This The reading is self-paced, interactive, and allows a deeper dialogue to exist between the academic coach and student.
