Félix Rivera-Mariani, associate professor in the College of Arts and Sciences, participated in the 2025 Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minoritized Scientists (ABRCMS) in San Antonio, Texas, where he served as a judge for poster and oral sessions. He also trained on presenting research in computational biology, RNA dynamics, gene network modeling and AI-driven applications. Rivera-Mariani also delivered a scientific talk, "From Air to Inflammation: Computational Approaches to Environmental Exposures and Immune Risk," which highlighted machine learning, systems biology and immunological profiling to predict immune risk linked to environmental exposures, including after natural disasters.
