Abstract
This chapter reviews risk assessment factors for criminal offending and actuarial risk assessment tools associated with recidivism in offender populations. Reliability and predictive validity of actuarial instruments for assessing the risk of recidivism for sexual offenders is presented also. This chapter summarizes lessons for practice and includes learning activities and a case for study.
