Abstract
Dr. Robert Watson, distinguished professor of American history, delivered the keynote address on July 22, 2026 at 5:30 p.m., at the July 250th-anniversary commemoration and the opening of a new exhibit on Benjamin Franklin at the Historical Society and Museum of Palm Beach County.
Watson discussed Ben Franklin's extraordinary life and legacy. From his humble beginnings to his groundbreaking work as a diplomat, scientist, inventor, and statesman, this lecture dove into the genius, personality, and enduring legacy of one of America’s most influential Founding Fathers.
