Abstract
For many international prospective students, physically visiting a U.S. campus is increasingly difficult due to visa delays, geopolitical concerns, financial limitations, and shifting global policies. At the same time, international students remain a vital and growing population in higher education; making it essential for institutions to design campus visit experiences that are accessible, welcoming, and culturally responsive. In this session, we will explore how the Campus Visit Experience team at Lynn University partnered with the International Admission team to build a series of virtual programs intentionally designed for international students and their families. These virtual sessions provide opportunities for students to ask questions, connect with staff and student ambassadors, and gain a sense of campus culture even when travel is not possible. Participants will learn about key barriers international students encounter, strategies for creating personalized and high-impact virtual visit experiences, and best practices for fostering belonging across distance. The session will also highlight collaborative communication approaches, content planning, and event design considerations that any institution can adapt. Attendees will leave with actionable ideas to strengthen their support for international audiences within their own campus visit ecosystems.
