Abstract
The English-Speaking Union Sandhills Branch welcomed Dr. Robert Watson to speak on “The Nazi Titanic: The Unknown, Bizarre Story of the End of World War II,” on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2025 at the Country Club of North Carolina in Pinehurst, NC.
Based on now-declassified documents, extensive research, and the award-winning book and film of the same title, the lecture took the audience into the story of an ill-fated German ocean liner, a devious plan cooked up by Adolf Hitler and Joseph Goebbels to win the war, a covert mission by Heinrich Himmler, and a tragic battle at sea during the final hours of the war.
