Abstract
Kareem Thompson '19, adjunct professor in the College of Education, keynoted the annual Division of Autism & Developmental Disabilities (DADD) conference in Clearwater Beach, FL. The conference highlights current research and practice recommendations related to improving education for those with autism, intellectual disability or developmental disabilities.
Thompson's talk inspired over 400 special education professionals, challenging them to reimagine their role in inclusion. His message of the three "C's," compassion, collaboration and commitment, reminded the DADD attendees of their mission to create truly inclusive spaces where every student can thrive.
