Abstract
Members Lunch and Lecture: The First Ladies are among the most recognizable women in the world, yet most did not desire to be such high-profile figures and were thrust to the fore of important national and even international events. This talk goes behind the portraits of our First Ladies to explore their personalities, triumphs and tragedies, and the moment that they sat for the iconic images that now hang in the White House.
