Abstract

Since 1984, the philosophy for children (p4c) Hawai‘i movement has successfully created spaces to think with others, forming inclusive communities of inquiry. Technology extends philosophical thinking beyond classrooms by including stimuli such as art and virtual tours of places we have never been. In these new spaces, we cultivate community, a conscious caring for self and others, and an awareness of how thinking may hinder or help one’s sense of place and purpose in society.
