Abstract

The work I presented reflects on GVC 530, GVC 535, GVC 570, GVC 575 and GVC 585. For GVC 570, I focused on addressing an issue that a lot of college students face which is doing laundry. I created a company with a logo, storyboard and commercial. GVC 575 - the inspiration for focusing on women came from Kara Walker, an African-American artist who celebrates historical eras and womanhood, embracing the female body. GVC 585 - created a 3D logo and model of home using Maya. GVC 535 - created hand drawings and 2D illustrations throughout the work. There is a repetition of shapes and implied lines that ties the works together. GVC 530 focused on landscape, still life and portraits photography.
