Gordon Wood is one of the nation's most celebrated historians, a prolific author and winner of the Pulitzer Prize, Bancroft Prize, John F. Kennedy Medal and the National Humanities Medal awarded by President Obama. He earned his Ph.D from Harvard and holds the title Alva O. Way University Professor at Brown.
