Abstract

Shari Boochay, assistant professor in the College of Arts and Sciences, presented "The Witch as the Feminine Divine" at the Lantana Public Library. The presentation explored how figures such as Lilith, Morgan le Fay, Baba Yaga and Elphaba challenge traditional patriarchal expectations. Through these characters, Boochay examined themes of female autonomy, intuition and empowerment.
