The Ronald and Kathleen Assaf Academic Center was dedicated on November 29, 1989 when Lynn University was known as The College of Boca Raton. When Marymount College (now Lynn) was founded in 1962, the Assaf building - then known as Carroll Hall - was one of the four original buildings on campus.
On September 19, 1994, Lynn University broke ground on the Sensormatic Wing of the Assaf Academic Center. It was dedicated on November 15, 1995.
