Abstract
This interactive roundtable examines how AI tools can enhance pre-service teacher education and support multilingual learners in K–6 classrooms. Participants will explore practical applications for lesson planning, language scaffolding, differentiation, and assessment through real-world ESOL teaching experiences. Discussion will focus on aligning WIDA standards with content instruction and integrating evidence-based ESOL strategies across reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Attendees will leave with actionable approaches for the effective and ethical use of AI to support ELLs.
