Description

Western Civilization I is a survey course concentrating on the foundations of western society. This course will cover the major aspects of western history from the first civilizations to the period following the Protestant Reformation and the discovery of the New World.The intent of Western Civilization courses is to help the student understand how our world today has been shaped by the past several millennia, to grasp the major themes that have been the determining forces across these centuries, and to be aware of the important personalities, issues, and events that are our common heritage.
