Biography

Twenty-five-year-old Davroj began violin at age six in Suzuki method and composed his first piece the next year. His professional career began when he became concertmaster of the Las Vegas Youth Orchestra at age nine, and two years later, he commenced a five-year post as concertmaster of the Reno Philharmonic Youth Symphony Orchestra. In just over three years, he acquired a degree in violin performance and a degree in music composition at Palm Beach Atlantic University, where he won first prize in the concerto competition with the Tchaikovsky violin concerto.

In 2008, Davroj won first prize in the MTNA State Composition Competition. Since then, his compositions and transcriptions have been performed by Phillip Ruder, Susan Olenwine, Routa Kroumovitch Gomez, Catherine Lan, Renata Guitart, Susan Galer-Wert, Anne Akerson, Eileen Hebron, Yasa Poletaeva, and Darren Matias.

Having learned from such teachers as Shakeh Ghoukasian, Phillip Ruder, Sonnet Johnson, James Buswell, David Cerone, Marilyn Mims, and Nelson Delle-Vigne Fabbri, he performed as a featured soloist in Europe, Asia, North America, and the Caribbean. He has been a requested artist of the West Point Glee Club Military Academy, the Artown with Steinway, the International Certificate of Piano Artists program, and the Curs Internacional Càtedra Chopin. Lynn University's highly acclaimed conservatory awarded Davroj a full scholarship to begin a Masters of Music in Composition which he completes in May, 2016.

In June of 2013, Davroj co-founded the music production company Vicarious D Music, LLC. with deejay J-Thor, his business partner and fellow member of their crossover electronic music duo, Vicarious•D. Since then the company has served musicians and non-musicians alike, from providing technical assistance for computer applications in music to production in both classical and popular music genres. By July 2016, Davroj and J-Thor dissolved all state-registered production work as Vicarious D Music, LLC., continuing their collaborations privately in efforts to focus on individual personal interests.

After co-running a photo production company of international acclaim in Paris, Davroj returned to the US and reconvened passion in music. He now leads a team of well-established classical musicians in his latest project, The Colors. Davroj and the Colors perform in southeast Florida a myriad of repertory interweaving covers of jazz, blues, classic rock, and electroswing favorites alongside originals by Davroj and new arrangements of classical favorites from Massenet and Strauss. Audiences enjoy their renditions of songs made famous by Nina Simone, Annie Lennox, Roberta Flack, and Tina Turner as well as Clean Bandit, Zhu, Adele, and down-tempos from Gaga, Deadmau5, and Rihanna.

The Davroj.com Blog following grows daily since beginning again after a recess until July 2017. As a professional model for 5 years, a music teacher for nearly 10, and a violinist and composer for almost 20 years, Davroj’ focus is the creation of art, be it performance, composition, or pedagogy. In his words, “Music is my life, and people are my passion.
