NAME: Aimee Murch

Moving from the mound to the circle, Murch is the top softball pitcher in school history. Her impression was felt so much in her two-year stint with LU that she was selected for the Sunshine State Conference 25th Silver Anniversary team. The accolades she accumulated in her time donning the Blue & White include NFCA First Team All-America, SSC Pitcher of the Year, SSC Female Athlete of the Year, two-time All-SSC and NFCA All-Region selections and the only two-time Blue & White Club Athlete of the Year in school history. Murch holds 13 program records, most notably strikeouts in a game (22), ERA (0.45), wins (39), complete games(38), shutouts (21) and strikeouts (428) for a season and ERA (0.55), wins (62), complete games (69), shutouts (37) and strikeouts (737) in a career. She also holds the NCAA Division II record for combined strikeouts in a game with Saint Leo's Katie Heintz (45) and ranks sixth all-time for strikeouts, tied for 12thfor wins and tied for 19th in winning percentage (.929) in a season and tied for 21st for all-time winning pct (.838) and eighth in strikeout ratio (10.14) in a career. Murch continued to pitch following her time at Lynn, playing three years in Milan, Italy and two more in the Netherlands while also playing for the Australian National Softball Team.
