Fairholm was a four-year letter winner for the Fighting Knights from 1989-1992 and becomes the second baseball player elected to Lynn's Hall of Fame. One of the program's greatest hitters and baserunners, his best season came in 1991 when he set a school record and led NAIA District 25 with a .451 batting average and 43stolen bases, earning Team MVP and NAIA All-Star honors. He was also a runner-up as the NAIA District 25 Player of the Year. During his time with the Blue and White, Fairholm swiped 66 stolen bases, second-most in school history, and hit .408, becoming just one of two players to bat over .400 for their careers.
