INDUCTION YEAR: 2007
Dr. Young became Lynn University's fourth athletic director on April 23, 1993 and was instrumental in the Fighting Knights making the transition from the NAIA to the NCAA Division II level. During his tenure Lynn saw its athletic programs reach new heights as over a span of nine years the Blue and White won 13 NAIA and NCAA National Championships. In 1996 Lynn joined the Sunshine State Conference and became a full member in 1997. Over the five years Lynn was in the SSC with Young at the helm it accumulated six conference titles. A former athletic director at Oklahoma State, Washington State and Florida Atlantic University. Young was also the main force behind the addition of several teams at Lynn University.
